Effective governance is implemented through these institutions in favor of the public and the economy. Effective governance in these institutions act as a key facilitator of economic growth.

Role of Government

The role of government institutions in the development of the economy are:

Explain the concept of human rights.

Explanation

Human rights refer to the rights that every person possess in the world and provides basic rights and freedom to them. Human rights are applicable to all the person until their death regardless of where are a person is or what he believes or choose to live his/her life. These rights can never be taken away from a person but can be restricted sometimes in case of infringement upon the law. For example: Human rights do not apply to person breaking law or any interests of national security.

Human rights protect a person in various ways in their day to day life:

  • Right to express opinions
  • Right to education
  • Right to private life and family
  • Right to not to be mistreated or wrongly punished by the law.
