What is the difference between Prefix increment and Postfix increment in C language?

Explanation

Prefix increment means ‘++a” the increment will happen first on the variable. Whereas “a++” is known as the Postfix increment, here the increment happens after the value of a variable used for the operations.

For example if a = 5, then on performing ‘++a’, a becomes 6 and on performing ‘a++’, a becomes 7.
