An expert system is a computer programme that makes use of the Artificial Intelligence that does exactly the same way as the judgement and behavior in case of humans. For eg an expert system can be used to diagnose human illness, financial forecasts etc.

A top down design is defined as the stepwise design where the main system is broken down into sub-systems that makes it up. In simple words top down design can be defined as the one in which the complex module is divided into submodules.

An interrupt may be defined as the signal that prompts the operating system to abort one process and start the next process. Interrupts can be related to user events like opening windows or using program controls.
