What control methods are used to control particulate air pollutants?

Explanation

Two types of devices are used to control particulate air pollutants from the environment. 1- arresters 2. Scrubbers

1- Arresters- These devices are used to separate particulate pollutants. These separators may be of many types. For example- Cyclone separator, Trajectory separator, Gravity settling chamber, Filters and electrostatic precipitator.

2- Scrubber-Dust can be separate by scrubber. Scrubbers can be of two types (a) Wet scrubber (b) Dry scrubber

Wet scrubber describes a variety of devices that remove pollutants from a furnace flue gas streams and dry or semi-dry scrubbing system does not saturate the flue gas stream that is being treated with moisture.
