Strategies of Problem Solving
A strategy is a set of sequential steps used by a problem solver in arriving at a solution.
- Algorithms- An algorithm is a strategy that ensures the correct solution of the problem. It is effective and provide the correct answer to the problem
- Heuristics- Heuristics are the general suggestions or ‘rules of thumb’ that are useful in solving a variety of problems. They do not ensure a correct solution to the problem.
- Analogies- Heuristics of analogies uses experiences of strategies used to solve past problems in solving a current problem.
