Differentiate between positive and negative symptoms of Schizophrenia are as follows
- Positive symptoms of schizophrenia are the most obvious signs of psychosis. These includes disturbing experiences of delusions and hallucinations. Approximately 70% of people with schizophrenia display these symptoms
Misinterpretation of reality is called as delusions. A common delusion in people with schizophrenia is the others are “out to get them” called as delusions of persecution
Experience of sensory events without any input from the surrounding environment is called as hallucinations
