OCR Advantages of A Level over GCSE

So what makes A-levels so different from GCSEs?

  • Benefits of having free periods during the exam
  • You get to call your teachers by their first name.
  • Ability to analyse in essays, which you don't have to do so much of in your GCSEs.
  • Time management is another skill to master.
  • Ability to incorporate extra-curricular activities like hobbies and interests
  • Balance part-time job with study partly due to the financial crisis.
  • Teachers expect more of you at A-level
  • You are definitely older, wiser, more mature than during GCSEs.
