Oil is sold in two sizes, 500 ml and 1 liter.

Two different quantities oil bottles

Two different quantities oil bottles

Find the better value of money of oil bottle as per quantity

A contains 500ml and costs $1.50. B contains 1 liter and costs $2.60. Which is the better value for money?

Explanation

Here,

Bottle A contains 500 ml for 1.50 dollars and B contains 1 liter and costs $2.60.

So, for comparison of both bottles we need to convert liter into ml.

Now, for B: 1 liter (1000 ml) = 2.60 dollars

So, Money for 500 ml =? dollars

500×2.601000=1.3dollars

Thus, money for 500 ml for A = 1.50 dollars and money for 500 ml for B = 1.3 dollars which is less than A.

So, better value is of B which is 1 liter and costs $2.60.

for the shape shown,

The coloured square.

The coloured square.

Find the below given calculation by using appropriate formulas

Write down

(a) The number of lines of symmetry,

(b) The order of rotational symmetry

Explanation

Here,

(a) If we can reflect a figure over a line and the figure appears unaffected, then the figure has reflection symmetry or line symmetry.

  • The line that you reflect over is called the line of symmetry.
  • A line of symmetry divides a figure into two mirror-image separations.
  • The number of lines of symmetry of a square is 4 because it has four equal sides by reflecting all we can get same image as it is.

(b) The order of rotational symmetry of square is also 4 becausewhen we rotate it, it will see in same position as shown in given figure for four times.
