Find the below given calculations

(a) As we know length of German Flag is 1.67 times more than that of width, if width of flag is 50 cm then find the length of given flag of Germany.

(b) If ratio of width and length of flag is 3: 5 then if length is 835 mm than find the width of the flag.

Explanation

Here,

(a) Length of German Flag is 1.67 times more than that of width, if width of flag is 50 cm.

So, length=1.67×50=83.5cm

So, length will be 83.5 cm.

(b) Here, ratio of width and length of flag is 3: 5.

Length is 835 mm. Let’s take width = w.

So, ratio will be: 35=w835w=3×8355w=501mm .

(b) Here, point B is in second quarter of coordinate plane which gives minus value of x and plus value of y means (-x, y).

  • So, point B (-x, y) = B (-2, 1).

(c) Here, gradient of a line is also known as slope of the line.

  • For finding slop we need two point of line. So take O (0, 0) and B (-2, 1)
  • Now, formula for slope = ByOyBxOx=1020=12=0.5
