What is the reason for differences in both conditions-?

Explanation

When the egg is kept in distilled water, osmosis occur and it causes water to diffuse into the egg to balance the concentration of water in the membrane, and the size of egg will enlarge. In other case if egg is placed in concentrated salty water, osmosis causes the water to diffuse back out of the egg, and the egg losses volume.

Explanation

pH meter is used to determine the acidity or alkalinity of water sample. Different water samples are given here.

If pH is less than 7 that is called as acidic solution if pH is more than seven that is called as basic solution.

If it is exactly seven the solution will be neutral.

Therefore, in first sample pH is more than seven so it is basic in nature. In second or third condition, pH is less than seven so these solutions are acidic in nature.
