In embryo development first the zygote divides into two types of cells first is embryonic cell and other is suspensor cell. Then the suspensor cells pushes and developing embryo into the endosperm to get food. Embryonal cell divide and get differentiated into radicle, plumule and cotyledon. It forms seed coat. Thus, a seed may be dicotyledonous or monocotyledonous.

Seed Importance-

  • Seed contains embryo which develops into a new plant
  • It protects the seed by different kind of damages
  • Easily transported from one area to another so help in dispersal.
